Tata Motors plans to sell more than 14 types of cars, as exhibited in the Indonesia International Motor Show 2012.

“(Sales) it depends on the demand and market needs,” said President Director of PT Tata Motors Indonesia (TMI), Biswadev Sengupta, after the inauguration of TMI in Jakarta, Tuesday (11/9).

Tata Motors, according to Sengupta, has 100 types of vehicles in different categories, such as the category of passenger cars, commercial vehicles, multipurpose vehicles, military vehicles, and environmentally friendly vehicles.

“All types of it will come gradually and were introduced one by one,” said Sengupta about 14 types of cars Tata Motors in IIMS 2012.

Sengupta assess commercial vehicles or public transport has a greater chance of selling than passenger cars or private cars.

Sementara Managing Director UD Trucks Indonesia Piere-Jean Verge-Salamon menyatakan bahwa pasar kendaraan truk di Indonesia masih sangat potensial.

Pada tahun lalu pasar truk di Indonesia tercatat 120 ribu unit dan di tahun ini serta 2013 mendatang akan terus tumbuh dengan baik.

Namun, ditanya apakah UD Trucks berencana mengeluarkan produk baru pada tahun depan, Verge-Salamon tidak bersedia memastikannya.

Pada pameran Indonesia International Motor Show tahun ini, UD Trucks tidak mengenalkan produk baru dan memang belum ada produk baru yang diproduksi.

Dan, sekarang mereka fokus untuk berupaya meningkatkan pelayanan kepada pelanggan serta konsumen, termasuk dalam hal after sales service, ketersediaan spart part.

Dalam IIMS tahun ini UD Trucks menghadirkan empat jenis kendaraan yaitu crane, box, tanker, dan dump truck. Tema yang diusung kali ini UD Heritage, Global Strength, dan Local Presence.

Truk-truk UD Trucks yang sudah beredar di Indonesia antara lain UD Trucks PK215R, UD Trucks CWM330HM, UD Trucks CWA260M, dan UD Trucks CWA260HT.
